Medal commemorating the 1642 Declaration of Parliament (copy). Obverse: Ship in full sail, left, with flags of England. Reverse: The two Houses of Parliament with the King and Speaker. Legend: 'PRO : RELIGIONE : GREGE : ET : REGE.' (For religion, the people and the King.) A rose before and after the legend. The Parliamentary declaration of 19 May 1642 called upon the king to be advised by the wisdom of both houses of Parliament.
