Portrait of a Danish missionary and Danish Lieutenant
A photograph of two seated European men, believed to be (l-r) a Danish missionary and a Danish Lieutenant, possibly from one of the Royal Greenland Trading Company ships. The left side of the negative is masked by paper. It is not known where these two men were photographed. The Phoenix visited four settlements along the west coast of Greenland: Holsteinborg, Godhavn, Proven, and Upernarvick between 8 June and 21 July 1854.
