Medal commemorating the Battle of Copenhagen, 1801. Uniface badge, cast and chased. Very rare. Oval medallion with Nelson's bust (left), full uniform, ribbon, and star of Bath, and medal round neck. Legend: 'ADML . LORD NELSON OF THE NILE.' Below: 'APRL . 2 1801'. Flag on either side projecting from behind medallion, as well as an anchor and cable (right), cannon and balls (left). Shell ornament below, loop above. Fitted with a ring. It is suggested that this badge may have been distributed by Mr Davison to the officers.
