Medal commemorating the Battle of Trafalgar, 1805. Obverse: The Admiral's bust (left), hair tied behind. Full dress uniform with two stars and other decorations. Legend: 'NELSON ET BRONTI . VICTOR TRAFALGAR ET VICTIMA.' (The Victor and Victim of Trafalgar.) Below: 'PERIIT ET PERIIT . OCT . 21 . 1805.' (He passed through and perished.) Reverse: Within a laurel wreath a bird's-eye view of the battle in its earliest phase, the two British columns on the point of piercing the hostile line. Legend: 'MEMORIAE CONSECRAVIT . GUL . TURTON M . D . F . L . S .' Exergue: 'ESTO PERPETUA .' (Let his fame be everlasting.)
