Used on Nares' Arctic expedition 1875. Belonged to Lieutenant A A C Parr, HMS "Alert". Tin plate cylindrical container with three paper maps inside, all showing the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands and stretching as far west as the Okhostsk Sea and east as the Alaskan coast. Two of the maps have manuscript dates "July 15th-August 15th" "August 15th-September 15th".
