Phoebe (1795)
Scale 1:96. A drawing of the 36 gun frigate Phoebe (1795) for conversion to a slop ship at Plymouth, dated 6 December 1822. Showing plans of the quarterdeck and upper deck. Also relating to the similar conversion of the ex French frigate Desiree (1800) at Sheerness. With the inscriptions:
-'Plymouth Yard 6th December 1822 Plans of the Phoebe's Quarter Deck and Upper Deck as proposed to be fitted for a Slop Ship'
-'Proposed - A poop deck to be built as far forward as the ticked line A and a washhouse be provided for in the head'
-'11th March 1823 - A copy sent to Sheerness Offices for fitting the Desiree'
-'Phoebe as fitted for as a Slop Ship at Plymouth in Dec 1822' (on reverse)
