Scale 1:96. A print from an engraving showing the profiles of small craft with sliding keels. The illustration is titles 'A sketch of two boats and a cutter with sliding keels agreeable to an scheme suggested by Captain Schank of the Royal Navy'. The engraver's mark is visible and reads 'S J Neele (engraved), 352 Strand'.
The drawing shows the profile of a boat 'for Lord Percy' (1774), the profile of a boat 'fitted at Deptford' (1789) and four profiles of the Trial (no date), a cutter, showing different keel arrangements for this vessel.
A note in ink on the reverse reads 'With Sir Capt Shanks compliments to Sir John Henslow'.
