A Brief Account of the Activities of the Union-Castle Line Fleet on War Service, 1939-1946, together with Photographs

A 24 page loose sheet album, bound with cord, containing 32 photographic captioned prints.

The first few pages also includes a brief account of the war service for the ships within the album.

Themes include the repatriation of Allied Prisoners of War from Sweden to Liverpool; the repatriation of East African Troops to Lagos, and South African Troops to Capetown; and the repatriation of wounded Allied Prisoners in Hospital Ships.
