Counter commemorating Admiral Augustus Keppel acquitted by court-martial, 1779. Obverse: The Admiral's bust, head turned three-quarter right, tie-wig, uniform. Legend: 'THE HONBLE AUGUSTUS KEPPEL ADMIRL OF ye Blue.' Reverse: Justice dressed in modern female attire, sword in right hand, scales in left. At her feet sprawls a figure representing Envy, bare arms and legs. A ship of war left. Legend: 'JUSTICE TRIUMPHANT and MALICE DEFEATED.' Exergue: 'Feb : I I : 1779.'
