Medal commemorating the settlement of the East India Company at Bombay, 1662, and the repulse of the French Fleet, 1804. Obverse: A river god, his left arm embracing a cornucopia and resting on the globe holding in his right hand a British swallow-tailed pennant, a tiger at his feet. Legend: 'SETTLEMENT OF THE BRITISH AT BOMBAY'. Exergue: 'MDCLXII'. Reverse: Neptune crowned, a sceptre in his right and a figure of Victory in his left hand, seated on the globe. Legend: 'THE FRENCH FLEET REPULSED BY THE E. I. COMPYS . XV. FEB. MDCCCIV'.
