Vigo sixpence. Obverse: Bust of Queen Anne in low dress (left), hair tied with fillet, gown fastened with brooch in front. Legend: 'ANNA . DEI . GRATIA .' Exergue: 'VIGO.' Reverse: The crowned arms of England, Scotland, France and Ireland placed crosswise. St. George's Cross and Garter on rays in centre. Legend: 'MAG . BR . FRA . ET . HIB . REG . 1703.' Coined from the treasure captured at Vigo Bay, October 1702.
