British Caribbean Territories 10 cents coin.
The obverse depivts the head of Queen Elizabeth II, crowned and facing right. The legend reads, 'QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND.'
On the reverse is a port quarter view of a 15th century vessel. The outer legend reads 'BRITISH CARIBBEAN TERRITORIES . EASTERN GROUP' and the inner reads '10 CENTS.', with '1955' below. Either side of the depiction of the vessel is the inscription '10' '10'.
The British Caribbean Territories was a monetary rather than a political union which was in existence from 1950 to 1963. Members included Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Anguilla, Saba, St Christopher, Nevis, Antigua, St Lucia, Dominica, St Vincent, Grenada, British Guiana and the British Virgin States (membership varied). It was superseded by the Eastern Caribbean States following the independence of members.
