A half-crown: Obverse: Engraved on a smooth surface port broadside view of a battleship under full sail but with only a topsail set on the mizzen. Exergue: 'Foudroyant'. Reverse: Above, two hearts pierced, below, a monogram, two birds and a scroll; legend: 'WHEN THIS YOU SEE REMEMBER ME'. Inscription: 'Peter Barns'. With a suspension hole.
