Half-crown

A half-crown. Obverse: Bust of King William III in a wig (right) defaced. Inscribed with a monogram 'JR'; '1788 AUGUST' below. Reverse: Engraved on a smooth surface port broadside view of a battleship under topsails inscribed 'PRINCE'. Fitted with a loop and ring. The 'Prince' was launched in 1788.
