Bristol farthing token
Bristol farthing token. Obverse: Inscription, 'C.B. 1652'. Legend: 'A . BRISTOLL . FARTHING'. Reverse: Port broadside partial view of a three-masted ship under sail and a fort. Legend: '. THE . ARMES . OF . BRISTOLL'. It has been suggested the maker's mark 'R' is that of Ramage, a die sinker at the Tower.
