Obverse: Bust of Admiral Howe in a pigtail and a plain cocked hat (left) Legend: 'EARL HOWE & THE GLORIOUS FIRST OF JUNE.' Reverse: Within a square showing the map of France, the model of a human foot. Inscription: (outside square) 'A MAP OF FRANCE'; (inside) 'FRA.NCE', 'RELIGION', 'HONOR', 'GLORY', 'throne' (words placed at right angles). In corners 'FIRE'. Inscription on edge: 'CURRENT EVERY WHERE'.
