Emsworth halfpenny token commemorating Admiral of the Fleet Richard Howe (1726-1799) and the Glorious First of June, 1794. Obverse: Bust of Admiral Howe in a pigtail and a plain cocked hat (left). Legend: 'EARL HOWE & THE GLORIOUS FIRST OF JUNE.' Reverse: Britannia seated, a shield at her side, her left holding an olive branch, her right hand a spear pointing to the head of letter R. Legend: 'RULE BRITANNIA'. Exergue: '1795'. Inscription on edge: 'EMSWORTH HALFPENNY PAYABLE BY IOHN STRIDE'.
