Token commemorating Admiral of the Fleet Richard Howe (1726-1799) and the Glorious First of June, 1794. Obverse: Bust of Admiral Howe in a tie-wig, uniform and cocked hat with bow and brim higher at the back (left). Legend: 'EARL HOWE & THE GLORIOUS FIRST OF JUNE.' Reverse: Britannia seated, a shield at her side, a spear in her left, a sprig in her right hand. Legend: 'RULE BRITANNIA'. Exergue: '1797'. Inscribed on edge: 'PAYABLE IN LONDON.'
