North Shields halfpenny token. Obverse: Port-quarter view of a full-rigged ship alongside a wharf, a horse and cart unloading, a factory and chimney (left). Legend: 'MAY NORTHSHIELDS FLOURISH' (sic). Reverse: Inscription, within a laurel wreath tied with ribbon, a monogram, 'I.P.R.' and date below '1795'. Legend: 'NORTHSHIELDS HALFPENNY'.
