Obverse: Full-length figure of Admiral Gardner (facing) in a cocked hat, standing on a French flag, right hand resting on the muzzle of a cannon. Legend: 'ADMIRAL GARDNER' (inner); 'WORTHY THE FLEET OR THE SENATE' (outer). Below: 'ELECTION TOKEN'. Reverse: An obelisk, inscribed, 'BILL OF RIGHTS' (left) surmounted by a crown and crossed sceptre and sword with oak branches behind; a fox holding a staff saying 'NO MAJESTY BUT THAT OF THE PEOPLE' is standing on three overlapping blocks inscribed, 'CORRESPONG. SOCIETY', 'RIGHTS OF MAN', 'WHIG CLUB'. A figure saying 'THIS IS YOUR ONLY PROP' places a prop under the top block labelled 'SEDITION'. Legend: 'SOME OF THE FOXES TRICKS ON A WESTMINSTER POLE'.
