Medal commemorating La Cordeliere and the cruiser 'Primauguet'. Obverse: Port broadside view of a three-masted mediaeval ship under sail carrying two flags bearing fleur-de-lis; under an inscribed band a ribboned coat of arms. Legend: 'LA CORDELIERE'. Inscription: 'COMBAT DE ST MATHIEU 10 AOUT 1512.' (Battle of St Mathieu 10 August 1512.) Reverse: Starboard broadside view of the cruiser; on ribbon, 'VAR VOR HA VAR ZOUAR.' Inscription: 'CROISEUR PRIMAUGUET LANCÉ A BREST LE 21 MAI 1924.' (The cruiser 'Primauguet' launched at Brest 21 May 1924.)
