Medal commemorating the Armistice, 1918. Obverse: Within sprays of laurel (right) and oak (left), tied with closed gun muzzles the coat of arms of the town of Compiegne. Legend: 'VILLE DE COMPIÈGNE'. On scroll on arms: 'REGI ET REGNO FIDELISSIMA'. Reverse: Inscription, 'INSTALLATION DU WAGON DU MARÉCHAL FOCH AU CARREFOUR DE L'AMISTICE 11 NOVEMBRE 1927' (Installation of the coach of Marshall Foch at the cross-roads of the armistice 11 November 1927). Presented by Commander Walter Bagot who was present at the Armistice in 1918 and to whom the medal was given in 1927.
