Medal commemorating the Black Sea Fleet re-established, 1886. Obverse: The Emperor's bust (right), in full uniform with cloak over shoulders. Legend in Cyrillic (Alexander III, by the Grace of God, Emperor of all the Russias). Reverse: Russia, clad in coat of mail, with pointed helmet (left), two long plaits hanging down in front. Her left is supported on the sword, while her right hand holds a Russian cross towards the fleet of sailing vessels, over which hovers a winged female figure, holding the Russian tricolour and a wreath. At Russia's feet the double-headed eagle holding a shield with the provincial arms of Kherson and a ribbon inscribed in Russian (6-10 May 1886). A fort (right).
