Medal commemorating the wreck of the SS 'Berlin', 1907. Obverse: A wreck partly submerged close to a beacon, heavy seas breaking, inscription below. Exergue: 'GEDENKPENNING VERVAARDIGD VAN METAAL AFKOMSTIG VAN HET WRAK VAN HET. S. S. BERLIN.' (States that the example was made from copper from the wreck of the SS 'Berlin'.) Reverse: Inscription, 'O, I HAVE SUFFER'D WITH THOSE THAT I SAW SUFFER! A BRAVE VESSEL, WHO HAD, NO DOUBT SOME NOBEL (sic) CREATURE IS HER, DASH'D ALL TO PIECES. Tempest, 21 FEBRUARY 1907.'
