Obverse: Bust of Admiral Michel Adrianzoon de Ruyter (1607-1676) (three-quarter right), long hair, wearing doublet with cravat and Collar of the Order of St Michael. Legend: 'MICHIEL ADR.SZ . DE RUYTER 1607-1907.' Reverse: View of the four-day battle, 1666; in centre, stern views of the Dutch and English flagships in close action. Legend: 'AL D'OCEAEN GEWAEGHT VAN HOLLANTS AMIRAEL.'
