Medal commemorating Grossadmiral Alfred von Tirpitz (1849-1930) and the submarine campaign. Obverse: Bust of Admiral von Tirpitz in uniform and order (front). Inscription: 'TIRPITZ GROSSADMIRAL 1915.' Legend: 'EIN TODESPFEIL IM HERZEN ENGLANDS IST JEDES DEUTSCHE SCHIFE HERWEGH.' (A death shaft in England's heart is every German seamen's aim.)
