Reverse: A female figure (Liberty) standing holding a staff with a cap upon it, a bale behind. Legend: 'LIBERTY & COMMERCE.' Exergue: '1795'. Inscription (on edge): 'WE PROMISE TO PAY THE BEARER ONE CENT.'
