Longjohns
Longjohns used on the Australasian Antarctic Expedition 1911-14. Knitted in cream wool with brown flecks, the ankles ribbed. The inside legs seams are sewn, the waistband lined with cotton material, as are the edges of the front flap. A triangular cotton gusset in the back is secured by tabs. Cotton loops are provided to attach to braces. Front fastening has pair of buttons (mother of pearl finish) on one side, a single button on the other.
