Medal commemorating the launching of armoured ship 'España', 1912. Obverse: Busts of King Alfonso XIII and his queen. Legend: 'RECONSTUCCION . DE . LA . ESCUADRA. ESPAÑOLA . BOTADURA . DE . SU . PRIMERA . ACORZADO'. Inscription: 'Ferrol, V DE FEBRERO MCMXII'. Reverse: The warship 'España' under steam. Legend: 'RECUERDO DE LA BOTANDURA DEL ACORAZADO ESPAÑA.' These medals were issued to the complement of HMS 'Weymouth' in Ferrol for this occasion. Fitted with a loop and a ring. Boxed.
