Reverse: HMS 'Resolution' with sails furled, starboard-quarter view, with mountainous islands in the background and two birds flying above. Inscribed below: 'CAPT.COOK FIRST WHITE MAN TO LAND IN BRITISH COLUMBIA AT NOOTKA 1778'; (below ship) 'H.M.S. RESOLUTION'.
