Obverse: Bust of Boy Cornwell (front) in uniform of a naval rating of HMS 'Chester', within a band containing legend. Legend: '* JOHN TRAVERS CORNWELL, V .C . BOY 1ST. CLASS ROYAL NAVY H. M. S. CHESTER.* FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH.' Reverse: Legend, 'PRESENTED TO THE NAVY LEAGUE BOYS' NAVAL BRIGADE BY MRS. HUDSON 1916.' Inscription: 'TO COMMEMORATE A SPLENDID DEED OF COURAGE AND DEVOTION IN THE BATTLE OF JUTLAND MAY 31ST 1916. ADMIRAL SIR JOHN JELLICOE, COMMANDER IN CHIEF VICE-ADMIRAL SIR DAVID BEATTY COMMANDING THE BATTLE CRUISER FLEET.
