Obverse: A three-masted ship under sail. Legend: 'ROYAL NAVAL TEMPERANCE SOCIETY.'

Reverse: Inscription, within a wreath of laurel. Inscription: 'INSTITUTED ON BOARD H.M.S. REINDEER JULY 1868.' Bar: 'THE VICTORY MEDAL.' The medal is suspended by a loop and a ring from a blue ribbon with enamelled bar.
