Ingot commemorating the 'Bluenose'
Rectangular shaped ingot. Obverse: Port broadside view of the 'Bluenose', sails set. Inscription: 'BLUENOSE'. Reverse: Inscription, 'BLUENOSE 1921. The most famous of the Grand Banks fishing schooners, the "Bluenose" was built in Canada to compete with American fishing schooners for the International Fisherman's Trophy. She was never defeated in the competition, winning the trophy in 1921 and successfully defending it four times.'
