Rectangular shaped ingot. Obverse: Port broadside view of the 'Intrepid' sails set. Inscription: 'INTREPID'. Reverse: Inscription, 'INTREPID 1970. Pioneering a radical new type of hull form the "Intrepid" is renowned as the successful defender of the America's Cup against two challenges from Australian Yachts. She defeated the "Dame Pattie" in 1967 and, after being redesigned, swept to victory over the "Gretel II" in 1970.'
