Medal commemorating the flourishing navy. Uniface. France armed with the trident, and crowned, driving Neptune's sea chariot (to left). Legend: 'SPLENDOR REI NAVALIS.' (The glory of the Navy.) Exergue: Stern view of antique galley, marked 'GALLIA'. Restruck for the naval review of the British and French fleets in 1905 mounted on a wooden plaque. On plaque: 'PORTSMOUTH AOVT 1905.' On reverse of plaque: 'S . M . EDOVARD VII PASSE EN REVVE LES ESCADRES ANGLAISE ET FRANÇAISE A PORTSMOUTH LE 9 AOVT 1905.'
