Naval Reward Medal depicting Queen Anne. Obverse: Bust of Queen Anne, crowned and robed (left). Legend: 'ANNA DEI GRATIA MAG: BRITAN: FRA: ET HIB: REGINA'. Reverse: Inscription (incuse) with (below) a crest and motto. Inscription: 'Her Majties reward to Capt. James Lempriere (sic) for his Zeal to her Service and his Successful conducting ye Squadron commanded by Rear Admiral Dilkes who destroyed a considerable number of ye Enemy's Merchant Ships under convoy of 3 Men of War on their own coast'. Motto: 'TRUE TO MY TRUST'. Electrotype copy of gold medal of similar design to MEC0851. Received mounted with MED1429 on a velvet covered board.
