Defence of Gibraltar 1779-83
A plate, with rigid loop, engraved. Obverse: Port broadside view of the flagship 'Pastora' blowing up, clouds of smoke above, a rowing boat in foreground. Legend: 'TEN SPANISH BATTERING SHIPS DESTROY'D BEFORE GIBRALTAR 13 & 14 SEPT 1782' Inscription on a band below 'PASTORA. ADML MORINO' (sic) (Moreno). Reverse: A ribbon inscribed entwined with floral sprays. Inscription: 'PETER WYK. GENT SR G.A. ELLIOT'.
