Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (Hon East India Co.) 1848
Obverse: Head of Queen Victoria with a diadem, hair tied in a knot (L). Legend: VICTORIA REGINA. Reverse: a laurel wreath, the royal crown above, a foul anchor below, inscription within: "FOR LONG SERVICE AND GOOD CONDUCT". Suspended from a cusped bar and crimson ribbon. These medals were struck for the Company's Navy but were never issued. A few were issued to the army. Inscribed on edge, "Private Edward O'Donnell 1st Euro: Bengal Frs 28th March 1860".
