"Lively" Badge ca.1824
Obverse: A badge of two crossed foul anchors surmounted by a portuguese crown, oval bust of King John VI of Portugal, laureate, in long wig and mantle surrounded by brilliants. Reverse: an oval, inscribed: "G.J.BURSLEM 4" surrounded by a band with legend: "LIVELY" and semi-wreath of laurel below. Fitted with a bar, decorated with a central rose and straight spray of laurel, and pink and blue ribbon.
