Obverse: Within a double cable border, a sailor, standing, his left resting on the stock of an upright anchor, his right hand on the truck of a gun. Legend: "ENGLAND EXPECTS EVERY MAN TO DO HIS DUTY". Reverse: Inscription: "PRESENTED BY THE COMMITTEE TO EDWARD BEACHAM". (Name incuse). "ON HIS RETURN FROM SECOND VOYAGE WITH GOOD CHARACTER". Fitted with a ring and blue ribbon.
