Obverse: Within a belt and buckle inscribed with the legend, the Company's crest, a crowned lion rampant holding the globe in its paws. Legend: "THE CUNARD STEAMSHIP COMPANY LIMITED". Reverse: Inscription: "Presented to Alfred Gemmell, member of the winning lifeboat crew R.M.S. Lusitania, 2nd Novr 1913". (name and date incuse). Fitted with a ring.
