India General Service Medal 1895-1901
Obverse: Short bust of Queen Victoria, crowned and veiled, with order (L) Legend: "VICTORIA REGINA ET IMPERATRIX". Reverse: A British soldier in a helmet and uniform, his right hand leaning on a rifle (L) and an Indian soldier in a turban and uniform, girt with a sword (R) holding a standard. Legend: "INDIA 1895". Bar: "PUNJAB FRONTIER 1897-98". Inscription on edge: "Seaman J. Cornish 21218 Att. R.E.". Fitted with a cusped bar and ribbon of alternate red (3) and green (2) narrow stripes.
