Transport Medal 1899-1902
Obverse: Bust of King Edward VII in naval uniform with order and medals. Legend: "EDWARDVS VII REX IMPERATOR". Reverse: Starboard bow view of transport under steam, above partial map of the world including Europe, most of Asia, South America, Africa, and Australia. Legend: "OB PATRIAM MILITIBUS PER MARE TRANSVECTIS ADJUTAM". Inscription on edge: "SPECIMEN". Bars: "SOUTH AFRICA. 1899-1902" "CHINA 1900". Fitted with a clasp and red ribbon with two blue stripes. Specimen submitted by Lord Selborne to King Edward VII.
