General Eliott's Medal for Gibraltar 1779-83
Obverse: View of the rock of Gibraltar and harbour, batteries and ships in action, the fleet in the foreground (L). Legend: "PER TOT DISCRIMINA RERUM". Exergue: "XIII SEPT. MDCCLXXXII". Reverse: Legend: "BRUDERSCHAFT". Inscription: "REDEN LAMOTTE SYDOW ELIOTT". The first three were the regimental names of the brigade, the last that of the English commander.
