Mug
Brown marbled mug, with three applied reliefs - an oval medallion of a ship inscribed 'VILLA DE PARIS' (sic) between two full length figures with banners behind inscribed 'LORD HOOD' and 'LORD RODNEY'. The mug has a green reeded border at the top and the bottom. It commemorates Admiral Sr George Brydges Rodney (1719-1792) and Admiral Sir Samuel Hood (1724-1816). The 'Ville de Paris' was captured during Rodney's victory at the battle of the Saints in 1782.
