RESVSCITAT . INTERMORTVORVM INSTIT . MDCCLXXIV'. Reverse: Within an oak garland tied with ribbon, name of recipient and inscription. Legend: 'HOC PRETIVM CIVE SERVATO TVLIT'. Inscription: 'R.H.S. Do. G. WOODWARD. VITAM . OB RESTITUTAM DONO DAT 1818'. [7 straight lines]. Inscription on edge: 'Presented by H.R.H. the Duke of Sussex 15 April 1818'. In a glazed case and fitted with a loop.
