Reverse: Inscription: 'PRESENTED FOR HEROIC EXERTIONS IN SAVING LIFE FROM DROWNING. JOB XXIX.13'. Legend: 'ENGLAND EXPECTS EVERY MAN WILL DO HIS DUTY'. Inscription on edge: 'R. P.G. FERRIES. APPRENTICE BARQUE "FASCADALE" FEB:7.1895'. Fitted with a double dolphin suspension bar.

Awarded to Robert Patrick Gordon Ferries (1875-1940) for helping to rescue some of the crew of the wrecked barque 'Fascadale' by assisting a getting a line to a boat from the 'Norham Castle'.
