The anchor in the coat of arms is for the first time placed slanting to the right. Reverse: Within an oak wreath tied by a broad ribbon, at the base a scroll, inscription: 'FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICES'.

The Lloyd's Medal for Meritorious services was awarded for actions that averted damage to or loss of, vessels and their cargo.
