Lloyds Medal for Meritorious Services 1913-1936

Obverse: Within a band with legend above and rose and thistle spray below, a spade-shaped shield with the arms of Lloyd's. Legend: 'PRESENTED BY LLOYDS'. The anchor in the coat of arms is for the first time placed slanting to the right. Reverse: Within an oak wreath tied by a broad ribbon, at the base a scroll, inscription: 'FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICES'.

The Lloyd's Medal for Meritorious services was awarded for actions that averted damage to or loss of, vessels and their cargo.
