Awarded to William Drogo Sturges Montagu (1908-1940) Flying Officer, Royal Auxiliary Air Force during the Second World War and killed in a flying acccident while on active service. The Royal Life Saving Society promotes swimming, life saving and lifeguarding skills with the intention of preventing death from drowning.
