Serpentine Swimming Club Medal
Obverse: Circular badge in the form of a laurel wreath in high relief tied with a bow within an ornamental border of eight semicircles with points between. Engraved on a smooth surface (C) a man diving into the water to save another. Reverse: Inscription on a smooth surface, incuse: "S.S.C. PRESENTED TO MR.J.P.O'Connor FOR SAVING LIFE, 23RD March 1890". Fitted with two bars with ornamental engraving and a red ribbon with a broad central white stripe.
